Is that an Apple Mac on the Microsoft stand at BETT07?
11 01 2007While at BETT07 yesterday the photograph on the left hand side of their stage was pointed out to
me:
Is the laptop that the boy working on an Apple Mac with the apple airbrushed out?
So what do you think? It certainly looks like a Mac to me.
It’s a PowerBook G4; you can tell by the antennae on the side of the lid.
Shame it’s a PowerBook G4 - they can’t then even use the excuse that it’s a MacBook Pro running Windows on Parallels?!
Or maybe they are reminding folk that they do make stuff for Macs - it seems the announcement about Office 2008 was slightly overshadowed by Apple’s own announcements?
I’m not sure about the white connectors at the side - my PowerBook G4 doesn’t have them. But it is a Mac of some description - nice one!

Well, you are all of course right (except for those who say it isn’t a Mac
I’d heard that some of the scorching performance stats for Windows Vista are when running on a Powerbook - although I’m told we chose the wrong one to put on the image. Didn’t know at the time that we were going to create such controversy, but at least we had an extra set of vistors to the stand - even if they were smirking!
