Talkman is a microphone and software application for the PSP, it allows you to speak into your PSP and translate simple phrases into 6 different languages.
It would be interesting to see if/how this could be used in the MFL classroom, Ewan & Joe??
We’ve been playing with one at the Consolarium but I haven’t got my hands on it yet. I’m sure it’ll have a use but whether it’s at home or in the classroom is another matter. Another form of translator? They can’t use it in the exam (yet) so dictionary practice and dictionary skills still need priority at the moment.
