Xbox 360 Voice

I just came across this blog while reading an xbox 360 forum, what an interesting idea. Anyway, after setting my own 360 voice up I surfed around a little.

I came across the blogger talking about changing the voice so your gender made a difference, he also mentioned that he would like to look at other new features like internationalization (is that a word?). So maybe this could be an MFL project - I guess I could talk to Ewan, Rhiannon (at SJT) and Neil (at Thomas Adams).

MFL = Modern Foreign Languages.

I was thinking that we could get some students from the schools Ewan or I work with to work with you to produce foreign language versions of the 360 voice.

We are definitely interested in doing foreign languages. There is one thing holding us up though. We have to have a way to verify that a specific user actually owns their blog/gamertag. Right now, anyone could register your gamertag for a blog. If we do languages, we will need to have a configuration screen to allow you to pick your language. We do not have that ability yet. Once Microsoft makes it available, we should be able to accomodate languages quite easily!
